- Paula Ruth (Steinbrueck) Dale is a librarian in elementary school. She
married Raymond Joseph Dale and they have one daughter.
Paula's mother is Clara Paulene (Spurlock) Steinbrueck who was an
administrative assistant for 22 years and worked ten years prior tothis.
She grew up on a farm eight miles west of Versailles, Missouri. She
attended school in a one room elementary school and moved to KansasCity,
Mo. after high school.
My grandmother was Grace Darling (Clifton) Spurlock. Her mother diedwhen
she was 13 years old, so she was "mother" to her brothers and sister.
Grace died of a stroke at age 83. Grace also suffered with crippling
arthritis of the spine and high blood pressure. Her two brothers,Samuel
Francis and John Beverly both died of strokes. Her sister, BessieRuth
died in her sleep, but had many strokes before that. Her brother,Joseph
Moore, died young after an accident left him with paralysis (maybe inhis
40's).
Grandmother Grace attended the Missouri Normal School in Warrensburg,
Missouri and received a teaching certificate and taught for a year or
two until her marriage.
Grace's sister, Bessie Ruth, taught school and in later life married a
widower, George Johns. She later became a school principal. - Paula Ruth (Steinbrueck) Dale is a librarian in elementary school. She
