This family is traditionally held to descend from the Boyle family of Kelburn,

Ayrshire, Scotland. They were seated at Bridge Hill House in Limavady, co.

Londonderry, Ireland, where an embedded stone carried the date 1732 and showed

a coat of arms closely resembling that of the Kelburn family.
