A GUITAR STORY As Told By John Bernard Brennan Jr.
The guitar seems to be a classic type Holes through neck to cross type geared nuts, oak veneer back, possibly spruce top. Aquired through Estate of Estelle Farmer ( formerly LaLonde). Who had received it from Stan Bush. Stan had married Stella's mother Phebe's sister Harriet "Hattie' LaLonde. When quite old perhaps 85, Stan who'd long been divorced by Harriet; as he was born rich and family suffered financial reverce when he was 45. However, He was a gentle well educated man, sort of a psuedo uncle to me. He'd learned of my passion for science and from his meger resources kept me supplied with popular, science, populas mechanics and mechanics illistrated.
He became quite ill and couldn't live alone so Gramdma Stell and Grandpa Art Farmer took him in til death. The Guitar was among his personal effects, since Art and Stell paid for his funeral, and supported him for afew years they assumed ownership of the effects which consisted of a few steam trunks full of post cards, bills etc. in addition to the guitar, their were a pair of snow shoes (Alaskan)
long bow(yew wood), ski's and a tenor Banjo Lindy Washburn of Atlanta.
The Guitar had at one time had two necks, I sort of rebuilt the tunner and polished the tail piece.

Stella was a very gracious lady. She was a good cook and home maker. In the days of wood burning cook stoves and little refrigeration supper was started right after breakfast. She loved to knit and crochet and could produce chords on the piano. Stella was born July 8, 1888. Married Arthur Farmer on
May 31, 1908.
