Notes
- John Longdon Chism was born and raised in Barren (now Monroe County),
Kentucky. He migrated with his parents when they moved to nearBoonville
in Cooper County, Missouri in 1819. He was married to Frances Cooperin
1828. They lived in Cooper County until around 1835 at which timethey
moved with the Chism Families to Morgan County Missouri. He was afarmer
and landowner. He died in 1855. Frances lived until 1876. They were
buried in the family burial plot on his father's farm.
