He married Constance Duchess of Burgundy May 1081 in Castile, Spain. Constance was born about 1040 in Burgundy, France. Constance was the daughter of Robert I Duke Bourgogne and Ella Ermengarde (Helie) Semur. Constance died 1092 in Winter, at age 52.
