Host Reformed (St. John’s), Tulpehocken

Host Reformed Church, near Bernville was founded in 1727. A log church existed until 1775 when a stone structure was built. It has been extensively renovated, but the main part of the church still appears very similar to the old church. The name Host is taken from a dialectic form used in the Pfalz of the place name Hochstadt. [Some records of this church are lost.]

St Peters, sometimes called Moselem Church of the German Reformed, is located nearly a mile north of Moselem Springs on the Kutztown Road, Richmond Twsp, Berks County, PA. Log church built in 1702; Stone Church built 1809; New Church built 1890. Becker’s St. Peter’s Church broke off from St. Peter’s Reformed in 1866.
